UPDATE: COD5 Stock is patched and running. The COD5 OW server has been patched and the mod version updated to OpenWarfare 1.4.0

TreyArch released the 1.2 patch for COD:Waw today. The file is over 500 megabytes but can be found at most download services like File Front. Due to bandwidth restrictions, the file is available to NC members in the downloads section. It should be a very quick download from our site for those having access.

The patch fixes a few things like the FPS counter and the cg_fov command. It also adresses the issue with redirect which means that custom maps will be available shortly. The only question for our community is whether it will support custom maps and still run the server as stock or if it will have to be run as Modded to use custom maps.

More on the custom maps as we find out what the actual fixes are and if anything is new broken. The main question as to when will  NC be updated to 1.2? The server files have been uploaded so the stock server can be updated now. The OpenWarfare server will have to have a revised version of the mod (which should be out later today).

The stock server will be updated this evening or tonight. Go ahead and download the update and save it where you will be able to locate it. The OW server will be updated as soon as the updated mod version is available. For those planning to participate in the scrimmage with the 1st SF/SS tonight, go ahead and download the patch but DO NOT install it until after the match.

Known Patch Bugs: If you are running Vista, praticularly 64 bit Vista and have no sound after the update: Go into your Windows Sound Settings and change the rate to 16 bit & 44100 HZ. This is the only workaround at this time. Feel free to discuss this update in the thread that is assiciated with this news story. Thanks as always for your patience.

Hello everyone! Guess what time it is? It's NC Internal Gaming League time again! Yep, we're doing another one!

This time around it's going to be COD4 with Realism1 style rules. We will be scheduling S&D, CTF and HQ gametypes to give you a different tactical experience.

Matches will be held on NC servers on Sunday nights,

 We're hoping you'll come and join us for some great fun and as an opportunity to get to know your fellow members better!

If you want to take part, please sign up by replying to the "Discuss this item" thread at the end of the story. If you aren't sure you can commit to most or all matches, we encourage you to sign up as an alternate. Simply state that preference in your reply.

We will be selecting Team Captains from those showing interest so please inidicate that in your sign up response as well.

Sign ups will be open for two weeks starting today, January 27th!

The number of teams and their sizes will be determined after sign ups are completed.
